The most important parts are fine: the case is rigid enough, the swivel tilts enough, all the pixels light up. no flicker that I can notice. I tried the built-in speakers for giggles; they are pretty dire as expected, but they should be serviceable enough if you just need to hear the system beeps and so on. The backlight seems like it may not have been the best match for this panel, this display really likes to wash out the blacks. It took a fair bit of mucking with OS settings to tame it into something I can live with, but it was possible to get there. I was left with the impression that the color temp and so in in the monitors own settings didnt have much basis in reality. The unit is lightweight, handy if you want to raise it on a small stand. This monitor does have an option to turn off the power light, super helpful because its the eye-searing blue LED variety, and now I dont need to resort to a Sharpie or tape. Nit: the button labels on the front are a little too subtle, figuring out what the buttons do will be a new adventure every time (most monitors seem to share this quirk).

I was building another computer site within our house and I did not want to spend tons of money. Currently using three other HP monitors, I knew the quality was great. I did not mind this older model, since it was actually newer than all the other three HP monitors we have in our house. They all were working fine, so why wouldnt this one work. It does. Perfectly. If you dont care to have the newest, and you are on a budget, please consider buying older, quality products. You can save TONS of money......like I did.

I thought the name HP would mean this was a decent monitor. I wanted a HP monitor with sound and purchased this due to its low price and mostly good reviews. After setting this up as a second monitor, I found that compared to my ancient Gateway monitor, this had poor color quality and basically looked super cheap. I knew at this point that I had made a mistake and should have just spent more money. Then I was unable to get the speakers to come on, but after several hours of trouble-shooting, I finally got sound...terrible quality sound. But, the sound seemed to come and go, and I only got the speakers working twice, before I just gave up on that. Overall, if you just need a very cheap monitor, dont care about sound or image quality, go for it. Otherwise, spend more so you can get exactly what you want.

Excellent monitor for the low price. The just got this today and the manufacturing date is May 2017, this does come with the vga you need, but it has ports in the back for vga or dvi but the dvi wire does not come with it, and the stand does come completely off and has the vesa 100mm holes in the back if you wanted to use a bracket for it and hang it.This is a huge upgrade compared to the one I bought last year which came with nothing and had no vesa holes. The speakers are just okay but if you listen to volume a lot on your comp then I would get some better external speakers for it , and the colors and bright and crisp.

It arrived two days after I placed the order. Fresh and new out the box without damages. there was the stand, three cords and the monitor. The stand was very easy to assemble. Connecting the power cord, speaker cord and the blue cord with the screws on it( forgive me for not knowing the name of it) was easy also. There is a piece of paper taped to the front of the monitor that has the assemble instructions on it. You cant mess this up. It took less than 15 minutes from box to turning on my computer.

This is NOT compatible with Macs that are older than 2018 or 2017... I had to buy, install, troubleshoot and then call tech support to find that out. Lots of trouble and lots of wasted time that could have been avoided by them telling us in the product information before buying.

For the price, this is an EXCELLENT buy. The picture is good, its easy to connect with a computer, and the screen size is a good balance between small to fit in tight spaces but big enough to really enjoy. But really, the lack of HDMI port makes its use limited nowadays and a little aggravating to work with. If you need an HDMI port, you should probably look for another monitor.

This is a decent monitor at a very modest price. The picture quality is good, and the set up is quite easy. No dead pixels or other damage with the monitor I received. You will probably want to add a pair of speakers as the speakers are pretty poor though. Yes, you can spend a lot more money for HD and a larger screen size, but if you dont have the budget for a really high end monitor, I think youll find this monitor a very sound investment.

This 20 inch monitor is a very good buy for the price range. The screen is bright and produces good colors in all situations (videos, word processing, web browsing, etc.). The construction is sturdy and feels like something that will last. The screen has a satisfying amount of tilt to it, allowing for more than one angle depending on the users position. I believe it comes with built-in speakers, but I have not tested them, instead using a pair of standard desktop speakers (seriously, if youre expecting great sound from a monitor of any brand you are going to be let down: buy some ten dollar speakers for better sound). It was easy to assemble the stand and it does not feel like it is going to fall. Does a very solid job at playing HD Video content. Overall, this is a very good monitor for the price-range and I would recommend it for those who need a new monitor in the 20 inch range. Also, free shipping from Amazon was very fast, beating the PC I ordered from Walmart via site-to-store by nearly a week, if thats a concern for you.

This monitor is ok, but we did have some problems with it after a three year period. Inside the monitor at the bottom it is fading as if someone took a sheet of paper and tore it upwards ripping triangle shape of up to one inch high to one inch wide, the entire bottom of the screen is this way. The problem is it started doing this after one year. I know my basement is cold but its not musty nor does it have any mold in the basement. I had an older one down there for more than five years and never had a problem but this one you can no longer see the bottom of the screen and everything on your windows has to be put at the top of the page instead of the bottom
