The Powershot SX530 is a great and amazing camera, the quality of the zoom and pictures surpasses my expectations. This review is more specifically about the entire kit. When I received the kit, I instantly wanted to start charging the second battery for a planned hike on which we were going to take a lot of pictures. Unfortunately despite having bought a Canon camera and having a canon battery charger the kit came with a Nikon battery that doesnt fit the camera charges and therefor I have no second battery. The screen protectors that came with the kit were bend, so no way to actually cut them and apply them onto the screen. The tripod is of such cheap quality that it is nearly impossible to get the camera mount stable enough to take a picture, its primarily made out of plastic. The mini tripod tips over when you put the camera on it and extend its zoom lens. So literally you might be better off buying the camera separate at a cheaper price and only look for usable accessories you really need. A second battery costs about $7 and you surely can find a better tripod at a reasonable price as well.

First, let me state that I love Canon cameras! I purchased this to replace the Canon 500SX Powershot I had before. The kit includes several accessories, but Im not sure they are a true value-add: - The car charger is a nice add, but note that it takes a very long time to charge the battery with it. - The large tri-pod is very flimsy. A good breeze will knock it over (which happened to me when I used it for the first time). - The mini tri-pod is VERY mini. See photo. Not sure how it would be useful. Positive notes: - This camera takes exquisite macro photos. - The zoom on this camera is amazing. - Its a good point and shoot camera that has lots of options for manual settings. - The case is nice. It includes a zipper pouch for extra batteries/SD cards. This is heavier than its predecessor, but it also has more features. One side note: If you are looking for a good camera for taking sweeping landscape photos, this may not be the camera for you. If, however, youre looking for a camera that takes great close-ups and you like a good zoom with easy-to-use settings, this could be right up your alley.

This is a great little camera, and Im glad I bought it. There are a few things I dont like, but thats because Im particular about what I use. I have big hands, but it still fits well into my palm--very comfortable to hold. The auto option is excellent; the camera really adjusts to what is going on with what youre doing. My main complaints are that there is no view finder, and the indoor shots are too dim--unless you bump up the ISO, but that leaves the photo grainy. Other than that, its a good product.

Camera = 4.5 stars so far (Ive had it 2 days). I cant give it 5 because its only average in low light (as expected from reviews). Comment: Its stupid that they dont make these to fit a standard filter? The 67 mm adapter ruins the sleek look because its about 1/2" bigger in diameter. Kit = 2 stars. -The main reason I got this kit was for the tripod. It will be in the garbage soon. The screw is too long so the camera wont tighten down. I could put washers on it but it is really poor quality. Good luck trying to lock 90 degrees.No good for panning. -The case is too small for my purposes (filters and such). There is only room for the camera with strap and a couple of small objects. The inside pocket zipper has already stuck once. The strap is attached in the middle so it hangs upside down half the time. -The rest of the kit is OK assuming the DC charger works.

I bought this camera to take on our cruise and honestly, it was amazing, until I bought my Samsung phone. I never use it anymore, my camera phone takes such amazing photos, I rarely use my camera. But if I didnt have my phone, I would use this camera all the time. The zoom is incredible, and I mean incredible. The picture quality is awesome. You can add space with a internal memory card and take thousands of photos. Its super compact and packs a lot into such a small camera. You have a video option too and it is just as amazing. You get the quality of Canon and the expertise of shooting with easy to use software. Just point and shoot! I totally recommend this camera, if you dont already have a Samsung , that is.

I bought this a year ago and I have to say I dont think you can do better for the price. The zoom function is great and you can get high quality images. It is a great learning camera as I really had no idea how to use manual settings before this purchase. As great as this camera is there are a few downsides the greatest being it doesnt function well in low light settings (indoors can be a problem ) but I am still giving it a 5 star. I recently purchased a more expensive camera but the cost of different lenses has made it so I still rely heavily on this one. Some of my favorite pictures I have taken with the camera are really detailed for the price. I am including some of my pictures so you can see.

As always with Canon, I am in love with my new camera. The pictures this camera takes are amazing. This is a new addition to my collection of Canon cameras and as always I am very pleased that I made this purchase. I received it on time and it was properly packed in the box. I can guarantee that you wont regret this buy..

Takes really nice pictures. Love that I can connect directly to the camera with my phone and get pictures off of the camera and control the camera using the Cannon Camera Connect app. The 50x zoom is awesome!!!

Great little camera. The versatility of the camera is awesome with the wi-fi capability and the accessories. High quality pictures, video records, and captures memories for us since our purchase. Not as sleek as some other digital cameras, but I do like all the minimized electronics. I know I have a camera in my hands when I am holding and using my powershot.
